There are four beaches within its confines, easily accessible by local tram, or go just south of Valencia and visit the nature area of El Saler, where the beach is surrounded by sand dunes and pine woods. Next to it is the Albufera, a freshwater lagoon connected to the sea, which hosts a valuable ecological system.

All of these beach facilities are within half to three-quarters of an hour's drive from most of the properties advertised.

Transport in the area, if you don't want to drive, provides excellent facilities. Most villages are served by local bus or train services, which are regular, efficient, and cheap. And clean! The Metro in and around Valencia is second to none!

Even the postal service, notoriously slow in Spain, seems quicker here - letters often arriving in England after only two days!

Add this to the local population, who are very friendly and extremely helpful, making you welcome in their communities, even to the extent of neighbours sometimes `adopting´ your family.

Put all of these advantages together, and you can see why those who have already set up home here find it a very convenient, interesting and inexpensive place to live.
